Portraits of GCA Ambassadors

The GCA Ambassadors are at the core of the alumni network and foster connections between alumni by organizing social events or thematic discussions.

GCA Ambassadors in Strasbourg

“In 2017, we took the relay from our fellow Véronique who started the E.MAlumni group in Strasbourg. More than one year after taking up this mission, we still keep on identifying new E.MA fellows based in Strasbourg as the new E.MA students, CoE/EP/permanent representations trainees or employees arrive in town.

Organising regular meet-ups gave us a real sense of how vibrant and diverse our community is. Is It is also a unique opportunity to exchange and keep abreast of latest human rights developments and initiatives with like-minded people.”

GCA Ambassadors in Vienna

“Towards the end of 2017, Natasha Bursac and I took on the role of GCA Ambassadors in Vienna, one of the busier GCA hubs. With the collaboration of Veronique Lerch, we arranged a few meetings, bringing together a number of EMA alumni from various years, from as far back as the late 90s when EMA started, up until 2017.

Shortly after EMA Masterini arrived in Vienna for their second semester, another meeting brought some of us together, reminding us of the great EMA experience, from the diverse backgrounds that students come from, to the wide range of topics discussed/debated from various perspectives, to what each student/alumni is currently doing or aspires to do.”
